About Me

Hi! My name is Roy Ad and I am a Sophomore at the University of Maryland. I am a Business major, and am in Media, Self and Society scholars. I am specifically studying marketing and management in the Business field. I enjoy both Business and the scholars program immensely. There are a lot of different goals I would like to achieve while in college such as becoming the best student I can be, keeping good grades throughout all years, and to be able to get a job that I will enjoy afterwards. I believe that my scholars program can help me achieve my goals because I want to work in the business side of the music industry later on in life, and my scholars program focuses on teaching us about all types of media (Which the music industry heavily relies on). Through my program I will eventually have a basic knowledge of different media forms, and I will be able to utilize it to enhance my perspective on media for my entire life. I would like to focus on music for work throughout life, but the knowledge on other media forms that I have learned in Media scholars will help me better understand media in the music world. Ultimately, I want to succeed and feel accomplished after college and know that I achieved all or most of my goals.
